In an interview with Mehr reporter, Mohammad Turkashund said about the non-election of the head coach of the national volleyball team by the members of the technical committee: The first thing that should be done in the volleyball federation is to determine the duties of the head of the federation. If elections were held, the head of the federation would have time to choose a head coach. If the head coach is chosen by the people present in the federation, they practically did not do anything for the national team because the national team camp will be held from next year. This foreign coach has a month to a month and a half to get to know Iranian volleyball. Usually, the best of the league is determined and the number of young players is added.
He said: “I think that the most important issue that has been forgotten is the issue of the Federation’s presidency. If we want to reach ideal conditions as soon as possible, we must first define the role of the Federation.” Even now, I think that the names of the coaches are mostly played with, and unfortunately, they play with the public opinion. These events are not beautiful in the volleyball community. I do not know the reasons behind these events.
The volleyball expert said: It is really a pity if brokers are looking for a head coach for the national team. I hope there are no behind-the-scenes hands at work, and if such a thing is true, it shows that there is a group or gang at work that is only looking for their own personal interests.
Turkashund said: It is said that we have time to choose the head coach of the national team and we should not rush, but the most beautiful thing was that all 10 candidates for the post of the head of the federation presented their presence and opinions in the meeting of the technical committee and the advisory council. Friends made decisions based on that. In this situation, no one could say that the head coach was chosen by someone else. The candidates for the post of president are also from volleyball and they ate the soil of this discipline.
He said: We have time to choose the head coach of the national team, and I think the league will end in April next year, and the new head coach will be able to monitor the performance of the top 8 teams. The rest of the team’s performance can also be seen in the video of the games. Legionnaire players also have their duties clear, but with all these conditions, I think that whoever becomes the future president of the federation, he should make the final decision about the head coach of the team.
Turkashund stated: I hope good things will happen for volleyball, unfortunately, sometimes we cannot tell the facts and if we raise them, we will be left out. If we criticize, we do not seek to impose our own opinions. We are from the volleyball family and our hearts are burning for this discipline.
The volleyball expert said about the foreign options of the national volleyball team: “Unfortunately, they brought volleyball into a bad game that is not beautiful at all. If it is really decided to choose a head coach, it is better to do it very quickly, but if the head coach is not going to be chosen.” Why did they start this game and take people to another direction? If it is the hands behind the curtain that should be regretted.
“However, I think other options can be added to the list and nothing can be done with a hasty decision,” Turkashund said. I am sorry that the names of coaches and famous Saeed are being played with. I wish instead of these issues, they would hold the assembly as soon as possible. This is not a difficult task and they will hold the assembly until the end of February. Candidates should express their opinions, now they have come to the conclusion that the head coach of the national team should be foreign, but it should not be the case that even his assistants are foreign. There should be good Iranian options next to him that will help the growth of Iranian volleyball.
