He said: There are people on this road who are trying to create margins. The federation group does not pay attention to these issues and we continue our work.
The head of the Boxing Federation stated: What is important is the results that are achieved and the various competitions that are held in a decent manner.
He said: After the country’s senior championships in Sistan and Baluchistan and youth championships in Razavi Khorasan, junior competitions will also be held in Isfahan in the form of top talents.
Thori continued: Now the camp for children is being held in Hamadan and for adults in Tehran. The youth team will soon start its camp in Tehran.
He explained about the presence of Iran’s senior national team in the Kuwait tournament: Our country’s team will leave for Kuwait later this week. The Kuwait Boxing Federation has officially started its work and is holding this tournament on the occasion of this issue. More than 15 Asian and European countries will go to the ring in this event and it can definitely be a good benchmark for our country’s team.
Thori said: Also, this year we have Asian and world adult competitions, as well as world youth competitions, and we are planning to participate successfully in these events.
Regarding the financial problems of the federation, he said: “According to the agreement with the Ministry of Sports, it was decided that whatever amount the ministry will contribute, we will have the same amount of money brought into the federation, which has done this issue and we are even ahead of it.” The work is very hard, but we try not to leave any plans on the ground.
About helping the delegations of Sistan and Baluchistan and Khorasan Razavi to hold national competitions, Thori said: For each national event, we send about 50 people, including referees and organizers, whose round-trip ticket and fees are paid by the federation. We also contributed 50 million Tomans to the delegation of Sistan and Baluchistan and we will provide this assistance to the Khorasan Razavi delegation as well.
In the end, he said: Iranian boxing is taking steps on the path of progress and success and does not pay attention to some issues. The fact that the head coach of the Iranian team is among the top domestic sports coaches in the country shows the positive nature of our work and has given us double motivation.
