Vermeziar: Esteghlal’s upward trajectory is going well / We have lost our myths in recent years

According to the sports reporter of Tasnim News Agency, Sadegh Varmziar stated on the sidelines of the sympathy ceremony of Esteghlal Club veterans: “It was necessary to see each other.” I have known and been a student of Ajurlu for 30 years. I joined Esteghlal in 1960 and have been in this club for 40 of my 50 years.

He added: “I hope that Ajurlu will increase this unity and that a huge force of veterans will come together to be the decision-makers in the club.” This has not happened before and has caused us to lose our myths in recent years. Everyone came with the idea that they should work for independence and we should not put our friends against independence. All the legends of the club, including Nasser Khan Hejazi, Fekri, Qala-e-Novi and Majidi, work for independence, and we must support the club.

Esteghlal veteran said about the results of the Blues in the last four weeks of the Premier League: “When the team reaches three victories and a draw from four matches, then it will definitely have good days and Esteghlal’s ascending course will go well.” Esteghlal has a good mental condition and a lottery, and although he started his career late, he had a good performance in the matches at the beginning of the season. There is good coordination between the players and I hope that this upward trend will continue.

Regarding the split between the team’s veterans, who played together in 1990, Vermeziar noted: “Where the big ones do not grow up, the small ones do not grow up.”
