
According to IRNA, Seyyed Samir Sadiq Al Mousavi, Vice President of the Asian Judo Union and President of the Iraqi Judo Federation, today (Tuesday) while attending the National Olympic Committee, after visiting the National Sports Museum, met and talked with Mahmoud Khosravi Wafa, the President of the National Olympic Committee of our country.
At the beginning of this meeting, the head of the National Olympic Committee of our country, while welcoming the vice-chairman of the Asian Judo Union, said: Arash Mirasmaili is one of the famous figures of judo in Asia and the world and the proudest champion of judo in Iran, despite some issues that have arisen for judo and its suspension. In no way did he lose his motivation and during this time, he provided great service to the country’s judo, which is highly appreciated.
Mahmoud Khosraviova said: The National Olympic Committee has full support for this well-known manager and popular sports figure, and we are still following up on the issues related to it, and we hope that as the vice president of the Asian Judo Union, you will have full support for him and Iran’s judo.

While thanking the opportunity for this meeting and emphasizing the friendly relations between the two countries and the cultural commonality, Samir Sadiq Al-Mossi, the vice president of the Asian Judo Union, reminded: the friendly relations between the two countries of Iran and Iraq are in all fields, so that based on the memorandum we had We hosted Iran’s judokas in a joint camp and multilateral competitions.
He said: “We will definitely defend Iran’s judo in the international arena, and no factor can disrupt the relations between the two countries, Iran and Iraq, and just as you do not feel homesick when you travel to Iraq, we do not feel this way when you travel to Iran, and there is no doubt that it will increase.” The sports relations between the two countries, apart from increasing friendships, will lead to the growth of both sides’ sports.
Arash Mirasmaili, the head of the Judo Federation, also stated: “Honestly, Iraqi judo authorities have had a good relationship with Iran’s judo during this period, and we have even signed a sports memorandum in this regard, and these relationships will continue.”
