According to the Mehr reporter, the convoy of the Iranian national volleyball team returned to Tehran today, Tuesday, after winning the Asian Championship – hosted by Japan.

Mohammad Reza Davarzani, President of the Volleyball Federation, after the return of the national team, said: “I congratulate the good, young and powerful team of Iran on winning the championship.” This championship promises that Iranian volleyball will have better days for the League of Nations and the World Championship with good planning and playing field for the technical staff.

The president of the volleyball federation, who was talking to the news network, emphasized about the championship with the Iranian head coach Behrouz Atai: This championship was not achieved overnight. Our volleyball became the world champion in the junior and youth categories, and a number of members of the same team were added to the senior national team.

The referee noted: “After that, the technical committee and the board of directors of the Volleyball Federation decided to give the field to the players who were members of the youth team and put them next to a number of adult players who were in the Olympics.” It was an opportunity to test both the technical staff and our young team.

The president of the volleyball federation reminded: “Our team was both the youngest and the tallest team among the 17 teams that competed in the Nations Cup.” This promises that for the next Olympics – Paris 2424 – we can invest in players with more confidence and provide better conditions by eliminating weaknesses.
