Only the South Korean team was slightly different from previous seasons. The Qatari team also participated, relying on its multinational players. Japan was a perfect team and did not have only two players.
The head coach of the Iranian national volleyball team continued: It is said that being the second and third tier teams is the problem of Asia. Competitions have been held at this quality level for many years, and the Iranian national team has competed with first-class teams such as China and Japan in the last 10-15 years.
He added: “The competitions have had the same quality as in the past.” In the first stage of the competition, the games were a little different and in fact it was like a preparatory game for us, in the second stage it was relatively better, the Thai and Chinese Taipei teams, which are among the acceptable teams in Asia. Then the Chinese team, which is one of the Asian powers, had a tough game against them in the semi-finals and fortunately we won.
“Competing with Japan in the final game was a historic competition,” Atai said. We have lost to them several times in recent competitions, such as the League of Nations and the Olympics. The players got paid for their efforts and trust helped us to have a special look at the young players and to participate in this honor.
