He said: We have the honor that wrestling has always excelled in the Olympic, World and Asian Games. More than 60% of Olympic medals, which are highly important, are from wrestling. Attending the Olympics is an honor and winning a medal in these competitions is an even greater honor. Nearly 50% of Asian Games medals have been won by wrestling, especially gold.

He stated: The development of wrestling is one of our main plans for the country’s sports. We have about 160 wrestling halls under construction, and according to the memorandum with education, all the halls are supposed to be managed by a single management. Talent search is another of our programs for the development of wrestling. The promotion of coaching should also take place because we have a good history of making good coaches at the world level.
The Minister of Sports and Youth noted: Hosting national and international competitions is one of the things we will do for the development of wrestling. Getting hosts can have an effect in attracting sports tourism and promoting the culture of that region.
He said: The discussion of research and innovation should also be prioritized in programs and the capacity of universities should be used more. Before, we could not take advantage of the research and innovation capacity in various fields. If we have done something wrong in the past, we should make up for it and try to develop the country’s sports, especially wrestling, which is the first sport.
