What percentage of Tehranis’ income is spent on housing? – Tejarat News

According to Tejarat News, the Statistics Center of Iran recently published a report that shows that the average share of housing in the net cost of urban households is 36%. In other words, according to this report, one third of a family’s expenses are related to the housing sector.
But this figure is higher in Tehran. According to this report, housing accounts for 47.9% of the expenses of Tehran households. This means that half of the cost of living of Tehranis is related to the housing sector.
Alborz province ranks second and 40% of Alborz province households spend on housing. After that, Hamedan ranks third with 37.9%.
In contrast to these three provinces, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad with 18.6%, South Khorasan with 20.7% and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari with 21.7% have the lowest share of housing in the net expenses of urban households.
