According to the sports reporter of Fars news agency, if Esteghlal and Persepolis are removed from the AFC Champions League, the quota of Iranian clubs in Asia will not decrease, but other clubs that are qualified will replace them in the Champions League. Of course, it is not clear which clubs will be replaced if the Magpies are eliminated.
