Willemtos’s lawyer took action to receive the request from the Football Federation/FIFA

According to the sports reporter of Fars news agency, on August 5, the CAS court issued a verdict on the case of Mark Wilmots’ complaint against the Football Federation, and the initial decision of FIFA that Iran was sentenced to about six million and 125 thousand euros in this case in the amount of three million and 325 thousand euros. In addition, five percent of the annual interest was condemned. Of course, according to the ruling of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the federation must also pay 354,000 euros to Wilmots’ assistant, Manu Ferrera.

Although about 50 days have passed since the issuance of these rulings, Wilmots’ lawyer recently announced that his client’s claim has not yet been paid, and demanded that an executive guarantee be considered to settle this amount from FIFA. For this reason, FIFA has also issued a letter to the Football Federation, requesting it to provide its explanations on how to pay this debt and the reason for not settling the demand of the former head coach of the national team, according to the final decision of the CAS court and of course the request of Wilmots’ lawyer, by October 1st. .

This is due to the fact that the federation cannot use the source of Iran’s income in FIFA to pay this debt, and if proper measures are not taken, there is a high probability that other crimes will involve the state of our country’s football.

According to Fars report, the contract of Mark Wilmots, the former head coach of our country’s national team, was signed during the time of Mehdi Taj, the current president of the Football Federation, and this Belgian head coach took charge of the national team for about 5 months and was in Iran for less than 40 days.
