World Karate League; Pourshib failed to reach the final



According to IRNA; The Moscow Karate Competition is attended by 371 participants from 49 countries. These competitions started yesterday (Friday) and will continue until Sunday.

“Zabihullah Pourshib”, the captain of the Iranian national karate team, is the only representative of our country in this event who has attended the Moscow Karate One under the guidance of the national team coach Hassan Rouhani.

Today (Saturday), Pourshib went on the tatami in the preliminary stage, weighing less than 84 kg, and first defeated “Anwar Bogrin” from Belgium and then “Vladimir Barzanic” from Serbia.

He then faced Targut Hasanov of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and after a one-on-one draw, he won by a vote of the judges and reached the semifinals.

Pourshib faced Morocco’s Nabil Chabi in the semi-finals and, contrary to expectations, lost 3-2 and lost the final.

With these descriptions, the captain of Iran will go on the tatami tomorrow (Sunday) to win a bronze medal.
