According to the Mehr news agency, the 35th World Military Freestyle Wrestling Competition (Seism) will be hosted by Iran on November 21 and December 1 of this year in the 12,000-seat hall of the Azadi Sports Complex in Tehran.
The draw ceremony of these competitions was held with the presence of 73 wrestlers from 14 countries. The draw of our country’s representatives is as follows:
In the 57kg weight class with five participants, young Ahmad Mohammadnejad periodically competes with wrestlers from Armenia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Azmat Tuskaev from Russia.
In the 61kg weight class, which is attended by 9 people, Mohammad Baqer Yakhkashi will compete against Rafiq al-Islam from Bangladesh in the second round after a break in the first round. Nachin Mongoosh from Russia is also on the other side of the table.
In the 65kg category, which is attended by five people, Morteza Ghiyasi will periodically compete with wrestlers from Guinea, Sri Lanka, Syria and Arthur Badtev from Russia.
In the 70 kg weight category, which is attended by 8 people, Mohammad Mehdi Yeganeh Jafari will compete in the first round against Akash Ahmad from Pakistan, and if he wins in the second round, he will fight with the winner of the wrestling match between Arman Andersian from Armenia and Christos Christoforidis from Greece. In the 92 kg weight class, which is attended by 7 people, the competitions will be held in groups of three and four and in a periodical way, in which Mohammad Hossein Mirbaghban will compete in the B group against Mohammad Adel Irshad from Pakistan and Andris Ozuls from Latvia. Vladislav Valiyev, a prominent Russian wrestler and world bronze medalist, is in Group A.
In the 97 kg weight class, which is attended by 7 people, the competition will be held in groups of three and four and will be held periodically, with Mohammad Hossein Mohammadian competing in Group B against Eric Zhiyev of Russia and Celia Thomas of Guinea.
