According to IRNA, the ninth edition of the World Parakwando Championship with the participation of 264 Hugopush from 41 countries will start today (Saturday, December 10) hosted by “Istanbul” in Turkey and will last for two days.
Mahtab Nabavi was the representative of our country’s Parakwando in the weight of 57-kg (K41), who won the gold medal of this period of competitions with a 34-27 victory over an opponent from Turkey and stood on the world championship platform.
Fatemeh Dodangeh (weight 52-kg / K44) was another representative of Iran’s Parakwando in the women’s section, who lost to the Paralympic bronze medalist 6-1 in the first match and was eliminated from the competition.
But in the men’s section, Saeed Sadeghianpour (weight -63 kg / K44) was the only male representative of our country on this day, who in the first match ended the result with a 22: 4 victory, but in the second fight, the result was 21: He lost two and despite winning the medal, he did not win.
Tomorrow (Sunday – December 12) and on the second day of these competitions, the fights of 65- and 65+ kg (K41-44), women and -70, -80 and +80 kg (K41-44) will be held. Rooz Mehdi Pourrehnama, Alireza Bakht, Hamed Haghshenas and Raiha Shahab are the representatives of our country.
