Wrestling custodians think about Olympic goals / Future-making youth shine – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to the Mehr reporter, after the postponement of the 2022 Asian Games in China, the task of the Wrestling Federation regarding the division of wrestlers to participate in the Asian Games and world competitions was determined, and now all the focus of the wrestling authorities is on Serbia.

In this regard, Mohammad Ibrahim Emami, the spokesman of the Wrestling Federation, on the sidelines of the Shahid Hasheminejad Cup competitions, stated in this regard: The talented young people who are present in these competitions will replace the famous champions in the future. Mazandaran province has the experience of holding international competitions for the past several years, and this issue was quite evident in the way these competitions were held.

“One of the important strategies of the Wrestling Federation is that we think in terms of the Olympics and care about the youth and the future makers in order to finally achieve the upcoming Olympic goals,” he said.

Emami, who supervised the young freestyle wrestlers as the head of this competition, continued: “Good talents were present in this competition.” I think that these young people will replace our title champions in the future and will bring colorful world and Olympic medals.

The Executive Board of the Asian Olympic Council (OCA) decided yesterday to postpone the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games. The decision came at a time when the wrestling federation recently had a major dispute with the National Olympic Committee over the priority of the Asian Games and world competitions. The people of the federation believed that due to the short time between these two events, experienced and capable forces should go to the 2022 World Cup in Serbia. Now, with the cancellation of the Asian Games, the differences between the Wrestling Federation and the National Olympic Committee have disappeared and all available potential will go to world competitions.
