In this regard, Mohammad Ebrahim Emami, the spokesperson of the wrestling federation, in a conversation with the Mehr reporter, announced: “All the legal and administrative procedures of sending the national freestyle wrestling team are being done by the federation so that there is no problem in getting a visa from us.” In addition, the World Cup is an official event in the calendar of the World Union, and the host country is obliged to issue visas for the participating teams.
Referring to the wrestling federation’s policy to deal with possible disruptions from the host country, he said: According to the president of the federation, if the host country does not issue visas to all the members of the Iranian team, a team from our country will not be sent to the American World Cup.
