Yazdani and Nakhodi became finalists / Zare reached the ranking – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news



According to Mehr reporter, the semi-finals of the first four weights of the World Freestyle Wrestling Championships were held in Belgrade, Serbia.

In the weight of 79, Mohammad Nakhudi won in the first round in a breathtaking match with the result of 7-6 against Yakub Sheikh Jamal, a wrestler of Russian origin from Romania. In the next round, he defeated Dolgun Altanzol from Mongolia with a score of 10:0 and made it to the quarter finals. In this stage, he defeated Olympic and World bronze medalist Bekzad Abdurrahmanev from Uzbekistan with a score of 10:5 and made it to the semi-finals. At this stage, Nakhodi passed the barrier of Vasil Mikhailov from Ukraine with a score of 5:4 and qualified for the finals. In this match, he will face Jordan Burrows, the Olympic and world champion from America.

In the weight of 86 kg, after taking a break in the first round, Hasan Yazdani won the second round with a score of 10:0 against Ivan Ichizli from Moldova. In the third round and the quarter-final stage, he defeated Sebastien Jezirzanski from Poland with a score of 11:0 and made it to the semi-final stage. At this stage, Yazdani beat world silver medalist Boris Makoev from Slovakia with a score of 10:0 and qualified for the finals. In the final match, he will most likely face the Olympic and world champion David Taylor from America.

In the weight of 125 kg, Amir Hossein Zare won in the second round after taking a break in the first round with a score of 3-0 against world silver and bronze medalist Zhi Wei Deng from China. In the third round and in the quarter-finals, he defeated world bronze medalist Alexander Khotsyanevsky from Ukraine with a score of 10-0 and made it to the semi-finals. In this match, Zare defeated Taha Akgul, the world and Olympic champion from Turkey, with a score of 4:2, and went to the classification match.
