According to Mehr reporter, the Freestyle Wrestling World Cup will be hosted by the United States on December 19 and 20, and there are still many ifs and buts about sending the Iranian team to these fights. The main reason for this issue is the conflicting news from the host country about the non-issue of visas for all the members of the Iranian team, which has left our country’s freelancers in an aura of uncertainty for the time being.
However, the wrestling federation has announced that the national freestyle wrestling team will go to the American World Cup if visas are issued to all members of the national team, and if a visa is not issued for one person, it will be considered as cancellation of the trip.
However, if the visa is issued and the participation of the wrestlers in the World Cup is confirmed, the technical staff of the national wrestling team intends to adjust the composition of the expedition team with its under-23 players.
Of course, due to the holding of the World Cup on a team-by-team basis and also the desire of the technical staff to field young players, it can be predicted that famous players such as Hassan Yazdani and Amir Hossein Zare will not be on the list of American travelers. On the other hand, the dispatch of freelancers such as Ali Swadkohi, Mohammad Nakhudi, Amir Mohammad Yazdani, the Firozpour brothers, Amir Ali Azarpira and Amir Reza Masoumi can be considered certain.
It is said that the technical staff may use experienced freelancers such as Kamran Ghasempour, Reza Atari and Mojtabi Glej in the World Cup squad if needed.
However, the technical staff of the national freestyle wrestling team has not yet announced the main lineup for the World Cup, and everything currently depends on the issuance of visas for all the people wanted by the wrestling federation to travel to America.
