In the weight of 79 kg, Ali Sawadkohi defeated Pi Long Li from China in the first round with a score of 10:0. In the next round and in the quarter-final stage, he defeated Saifuddin Alkema from France with a score of 11:0 and made it to the semi-final stage. He won against Vladimir Gamkerlidze, the under-23 world champion from Georgia, with a score of 10-1 and went to the finals. In the final match, Svadekohi will face Avtandil Kontchadze, the world silver medalist from Georgia.
In the weight of 97 kg, Amir Ali Azarpira won in the first round with a score of 11:0 against Nishan Randhawa from Canada. In the next round and in the quarter-finals, he defeated Ibrahim Jeftji from Turkey with a score of 10-0 and went to the semi-finals. At this stage, he beat Habila Avosaiman Havilah from China with a score of 10 to 0 and reached the finals. Azarpira will face world and Olympic champion Kyle Snyder from America in the final match.
In the weight of 125 kg, Amir Hossein Zare defeated Milan Korsog from Hungary with the result of 11:0 in the first round. In the next round and in the quarter-final stage, he defeated Kamil Kosiolek from Poland with a score of 10-0 and made it to the semi-final stage. At this stage, he beat Daniel Ligeti from Hungary with a score of 9:2 and qualified for the finals. Zare will face Georgi Meshvildishvili from Azerbaijan in the final match.
