Maliki emphasized: We confirm the existence of a number equivalent to 1.5 million hectares of land in the land bank of the National Land and Housing Organization, but this does not mean that all these lands are ready for construction and construction operations.

The head of the National Land and Housing Organization stated that not all the lands of our land bank can be built, and said: There may be mountains, forests, and rivers in this range of lands, on the other hand, some of these lands may be under litigation. It is our rights and the rights of the people, and all this land cannot be used for housing construction.

He continued: According to the existing procedure, we present our land to working groups that have legal responsibility, including the planning council working group and infrastructure affairs working group, and based on the legal formalities, what is used for housing construction is determined.

This official pointed out that in the past there was a policy of the existence of an urban boundary line and preventing the horizontal development of cities, and said: Currently, there is a need to build housing and the government has decided to solve this issue, so We are moving towards increasing urban space.

Maliki, in response to a question about the existence of concerns about the use of buildable land in the government’s property development plan, said: Basically, the lands that are needed for housing are not included in development and this issue is stated in the development regulations.

He added: The work of the National Land and Housing Organization is productivity, when we annex land to a city and dedicate a part of it to the construction of residential and commercial units and sell another part of it to complete infrastructure and superstructure activities, that means we are producing. We do state assets.

The head of the National Land and Housing Organization said: Productivity is the inherent task of the National Land Organization and according to the organization’s statutes.

Referring to the agreement of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development with mass builders, Maliki said: We are negotiating with mass builders and various models in this sector are on the table, but so far we have not had any final conclusion in this sector and nothing has been decided yet.
