10% of the country’s electricity was provided by renewable energies

According to the economic correspondent of Fars News Agency, according to the information of the country’s electricity network management company, the peak electricity consumption exceeded 43 thousand 935 megawatts on the last day of Bahman 1401. Meanwhile, last year’s peak load in the same time period was 41,752 megawatts and shows a 5.2% growth compared to last year.
According to Fars report, the important point in the statistics of the Electricity Network Management Company is that out of the peak load of 43 thousand 935 megawatts, 4 thousand 280 megawatts were provided by the country’s renewable power plants.
In other words, in the current period, due to fuel consumption restrictions, 9.7% of the country’s electricity needs have been provided by renewable power plants.
According to Fars report, during the recent period on 20th of Bahman 1401, the amount of renewable electricity supply had reached 5 thousand 756 megawatts, which was equivalent to 13% of the total electricity production per day.
