11 archaeological exploration projects are implemented in Mazandaran



According to the Arya Heritage report and quoted from the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Crafts of Mazandaran, Sadegh Barzegar said on Thursday evening, 28 May 1402, at the opening of World Museum Day and Cultural Heritage Week at Kalbadi Museum in Sari, referring to the many natural attractions and the presence of tourists in Mazandaran province, he said: Considering the presence of tourists in this province to visit natural attractions, we should introduce Mazandaran as one of the rich provinces in historical and cultural works.

The Director General of Mazandaran Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts continued: Private associations and cultural heritage lovers should be helped to introduce the historical and cultural attractions of Mazandaran.

By announcing that Mazandaran has more than 2,500 historical monuments, he said: Out of this number of historical monuments of the province, about 800 works have been included in the national register so far.

Barzegar continued: In the current year, more than 60 other historical works are on the agenda for registration.

Emphasizing that archaeological and research studies are important, he added: We are trying to implement 11 archaeological exploration projects in the province this year.

Barzegar also announced the restoration of 34 projects including baths, bridges, mosques, takayas and old houses with a credit of about 4 billion Tomans this year.

The Director General of Mazandaran Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts pointed out: In the current year, Abbas Abad World Base, Farah Abad National Base, Yosh and Espahbad Khurshid were allocated good credits, and research is the priority of this base.

The opening ceremony of World Museum Day and Cultural Heritage Week, which was held at the Sari History Museum, was celebrated with the performance of various programs of martial arts, local music, Shahnameh reading, and happy rituals of Tabari.
