11% increase in Russian electricity exports to China


According to the report of Fars News Agency’s International Economy reporter, quoted by Tass news agency, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said at the fourth Russia-China Energy Trade Conference that the country’s electricity exports to China will probably increase by 11 percent by the end of the year.

He added: “At the request of the state-owned China Electric Grid Company, the monthly volume of electricity supply has been doubled. “We expect the supply of electricity to Russia to increase by 11 percent by the end of the year.”

Igor Sechin, the chief executive officer of “Rosneft”, previously said that the electricity import and export operator in Russia has increased the supply of electricity to China by about 33% in the first 10 months of 2022 and reached 4 billion kilowatt hours.
