“In the ‘Like Her’ project, I selected a village of about 60 houses in Nepal and selected 12 women to work with,” she says. I wanted to highlight their story. I wanted this project to be a kind of echo of their voice, to strengthen the voice of these women and to tell their story. Highlight their struggles and show the world an amazing story of wisdom, strength and flexibility.
According to the artist, life in Nepal is still difficult for women, and in rural areas, girls are often forced to drop out of school due to poverty. They eventually get married and have children, and this cycle repeats itself.
