187% growth in accommodation in residential centers and facilities in Gilan

According to Heritage, quoting the public relations of the General Directorate of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts of Gilan Province, Vali Jahani announced the news on April 3, 1401: “172,574 people have been registered overnight in permanent and temporary accommodation centers in Gilan province.”

The director general of cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts of Gilan province added: “This number has recorded a significant growth of 187 percent compared to the same period last year.”

Jahani added: “The policy of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Gilan Province is to develop tourism infrastructure and facilitate investment-related matters in this area, and the wide acceptance of Nowruz travelers and tourists indicates the need to maintain the development of tourism infrastructure in Gilan Province.”

Referring to the monitoring visits to the service process of these units during the Nowruz period, he said: “During these visits, 36 units were warned, 20 were issued written warnings and 20 units were encouraged.”
