1st of Ordibehesht, Saadi Shirazi’s birthday

At the suggestion of the Saadi Center in 1381, the first of May was named Saadi Day, and every year since then, this day in honor of the famous Shirazi poet and writer whose name and fame has become world, programs in his hometown and all over the world will be held.

Abu Muhammad Musharraf al-Din Mosleh ibn Abdullah ibn Musharraf alias Saadi, a famous Iranian poet and writer, was born in 606 AH in the city of Shiraz. He is also known by the titles of Master of Speech, King of Speech, Sheikh Ajal, etc. Saadi’s love poems are very famous and all his works are written in a very fluent and simple language.
