2.3-fold increase in bank deposits with the central bank

Banks’ deposits with the Central Bank in 1397 and 1398 were equal to 194 thousand billion tomans and 260 thousand billion tomans, respectively. Examination of the charts shows that this index has increased by more than 26% in 1997 and 33.7% in 1998.
Last year, banks transferred 354,000 billion tomans of their deposits to the Central Bank. This figure increased by 36.3% compared to 1998.
Bank deposits with the central bank did not stop in 1400 and were higher in the first quarter of this year than last year. The amount of bank deposits at the end of the first quarter of this year was equal to 384 thousand billion tomans.
