2 Chicago Festival awards for Iranian cinema



The 58th Chicago International Film Festival ended its work by awarding two awards to Iranian films.

Charso Press: In this film event, which was held from October 12 to 23 (October 20 to November 1), finally the Golden Hugo Award for the best film went to “God’s Land” by “Helinor Palmason” from Iceland and “Near” by Lucas Donut From Belgium, it also won the Silver Hugo Award for the best film in the international competition section, as well as the Golden Hugo Award in the competitive landscape section.

The film “Khores Nist” by Jafar Panahi, which was one of the films in the international competition section of the Chicago Film Festival, also received a new award under the title of “Cinematic Courage” and the short film “Nazarbazi” by Maryam Tachinni also won the Golden Hugo Award for the best short documentary. This event was filmed.

Last year, the movie “Hero” by Asghar Farhadi was in the professors section, “Jade Khaki” by Panah Panahi in the comedy section and “Private” by Sara Sakhawat were in the short film section of the Chicago Film Festival, and Iranian cinematographer Shahram Makri was also one of the Darwan section.
