The commander of the protection unit of the General Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Kurdistan stated: Based on this, the forces of the police station and the person in charge of the cultural heritage of Dehgolan were present at the scene of the crime and were closely involved in the excavation.

He said that two unauthorized diggers with local identities were identified and arrested in this regard, adding: These people had dug a hole two meters deep and a tunnel 30 meters long with the intention of discovering antiques.

Colonel Zarei reminded: a court case has been filed for the arrested agents and this issue is being pursued through legal authorities.
