Ridley Scott plans to release two longer edits than his last two films.
Theater News Base: Ridley Scott wants to release two longer editions of his two new films, “The Last Duel” and “Gucci House.”
The world-famous director, who is world-renowned for his classics, announced the news at the same time as the release of his latest film, Gucci House, which has been released since November 24.

Released on Thanksgiving weekend and on its third day, the film grossed $ 14.9 million at the US box office, but “The Last Duel,” which tells a medieval story and opened October 15, was a disappointing 20th-century studio sale. And the names of his famous actors from Matt Damon to Ben Affleck and Adam Driver did not help sell it.
In a new interview with a movie podcast, Scott said he plans to edit the two films longer.
“What comes out is the film and I am completely responsible for it,” he said. I do not mean to say that the new editing will be a four-hour cut. No, this version is more than two and a half hours and it is long, I know the failure factor and I do not want the audience to say when leaving the hall: My God, how long it was. But I think watching a movie at home is better, because you can stop the movie and eat something and come back. That’s why I probably do a director’s cut – a long cut. In fact, the cut will not be the director, the cut is long.
It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. Scott has previously released longer versions of 11 of his films, including “Blade Runner,” “Alien” and “Gladiator.” He seems to be living up to his new promise, and two films, “The Last Duel” and “Gucci House”, will be added to the list.
