A two-year-old girl from Kentucky was introduced as the youngest member of the IQ Association “Mensa” and proved that she has an intelligence beyond her peers. Mensa is an international gifted association with numerous national and regional groups around the world. The condition of membership in this global association is to obtain the required score in one of the tests to determine the IQ of the association or other valid and standard tests approved by the association.
Guinness World Records announced that Isla McNabb from Crestwood, a city in the state of Kentucky in the United States of America, was accepted into Mensa after scoring 99 intelligence in her age group. According to the rules, applicants must score 98 or higher on a standardized IQ test to be eligible.
The child’s parents said that their daughter learned the alphabet at 18 months and started reading very early. Isla’s father told Guinness World Records: “At seven months old, when we asked her to show us a certain picture in a picture book, she would choose the correct option.”
