25% of Germans are worried about losing their jobs due to the crisis in Ukraine

“About a quarter of people working in Germany are worried about losing their jobs because of the consequences of the Ukraine crisis and the imposition of anti-Russian sanctions and its economic effects,” the Berliner Zeitung newspaper reported, according to Fars News Agency’s International Economic Group.
The report, based on a survey conducted by the Trends Research Institute, shows that 23.3% of respondents are worried about losing their jobs due to the consequences of the military conflict in Ukraine.
About half of those also said they had to work from home due to rising gasoline prices as a result of the sanctions war between Russia and the West. 49.2% of the participants also said that they were emotionally stressed because of the published images of the war zones in Ukraine.
Based on a survey; Half of the participants said that their employers should support Ukrainian refugees.
The results of the survey show that the consequences of the military conflict in Ukraine are being felt even in the academic community, with 35% of the 1,770 students surveyed saying they are worried about their future careers.
Germany is currently in a serious crisis over rising costs of living, with inflation at its highest level in 50 years.
One of the main reasons for the rise in inflation in this country is the significant rise in gasoline and gas prices caused by sanctions imposed on Russia. A possible embargo on oil and gas imports from Russia is also worsening conditions for German industry; Because many factories are worried about shutting down due to loss of energy resources.
