He added: “Our pursuit of the banks did not end with the correspondence with the tax affairs organization, and bilateral agreements are currently being concluded between the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development and various banks.”
In response to the question why, despite a strong law such as the Housing Production Jump Law, the Ministry of Roads is going to sign a memorandum of understanding with the banks, he added: The memorandums we sign with the banks emphasize the implementation of the law.
The Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development stated: The Ministry of Roads and Urban Development is continuing to follow up on the payment of housing facilities and the revival of this sector’s share of bank loans in the form of following up on the Law of Production Leaps, an agreement with the bank, and following up with the government.
Explaining the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development’s readiness to introduce housing applicants to banks, he said: Currently, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development is ready to introduce 300,000 eligible applicants for self-ownership facilities to the banking system.
Abbasi added: If we want to create economic growth, create employment and solve the housing issue, the banking system should finance the construction of residential units.
Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development said: The banking license is a valuable license and the government expects that in return for granting this license to the banks, the banking system will pay the debt relief, including housing loans.
