39 million euro ruling of the Paris Court in favor of Iran / equivalent to “lost rig”

According to the economic correspondent of Fars News Agency, Reza Noshadi, CEO of Gas Development Engineering Company, stated in a press conference today, Sunday, April 11, referring to the company’s plans: Gas Development Engineering Company is the largest developer of gas transmission lines in the world. Iran has the largest gas pipeline network in the world after the United States, Canada and Russia, and we are in fourth place. We are also in the first place in the field of 96% coverage of the gas network in the country with a difference.
* All equipment for gas transmission pipeline construction in Iran has been localized
He said: “Currently, all the equipment needed by this company has been localized, which, of course, has also been economic localization.” One of them is the production of turbochargers. Now some Iranian compressors are more efficient than Siemens products. Also, all control valves are internalized.
* Zahedan-Zabol gas pipeline will be launched soon
Noshadi added: “We have put 1870 km of pipelines on the agenda for this year.” This year is the year of construction of the pipeline in Sistan province and our main focus is on this province. The final test of the Zahedan-Zabol pipeline is on the agenda and we will launch this 240-kilometer pipeline soon.
The CEO of Gas Development Engineering Company said: “This year, we will put more than one thousand kilometers of gas transmission pipeline into operation. Simultaneous construction of 12 booster stations will be done so that we can meet the country’s needs in proportion to the increase in demand.”
* Iran’s gas storage capacity reaches 100 million cubic meters
“The low gas storage capacity from the cold season consumption made us plan on this issue,” he said. Currently, 3% of Iran’s gas consumption (equivalent to about 20 million cubic meters) is supplied through storage, while in Europe there are countries that have increased this figure to 40% and meet their cold season demand through gas storage. The European average in this area is 25%.
Noshadi said: the implementation of gas storage projects in Iran is very important. We have obtained storage approvals in seven fields. Shurijeh Square contract has been signed. We also have plans in Bankul and Sarajeh squares. Ghezel Tappeh field has passed a stage of excavation, studies and evaluation. We have also applied for Sarkhon Square. Kashan Yurtsha and Nasrabad squares are also in the program. A total of 14 fields have been selected for gas storage, of which seven have been licensed.
The CEO of Gas Development Engineering Company said: Ghezel Tappeh field has the most pressure. In Nasrabad Square of Kashan, this is the first time that we go to salt domes for gas storage. Yurtsha Square is also a layer of water. It seems that storage operations in these three fields will cause sediment and knowledge in the gas engineering and development company.
He stated: “Our goal is to supply 10% of gas consumption in the cold peak through gas storage, ie a figure between 90 to 100 million cubic meters per day; This goal is achieved by storing in these 7 fields over a period of 6 years.
* Iran wins lawsuit with a French company
Noshadi said: “After the return of sanctions, our contract with a French company (Sofreh Gas) was not implemented by that company and that company left Iran and then claimed 26 million Euros against us in the Paris Arbitration Court.” In this case, we filed a counterclaim, and as a result, not only was the 26 million euro claim of the French company not confirmed, but that company also had to pay us 13 million euros; That is, a figure equivalent to a missing rig.
