3DMark benchmark of Intel A770M and A550M graphics card was released

Until now, the only supply we have seen of Intel’s Arc Alchemist graphics cards was their limited supply in China, but this trend and procedure is going to change with the arrival of the low-end A370M graphics card to other markets. But the flagship graphics cards of the Arc Alchemist family are yet to be seen: the A730M, A550M and A770M graphics cards. But recently, the 3DMark benchmark of A550M and A770M graphics cards have been seen.

Benchmarks that confuse more!

These benchmarks are published by Rogame. Unfortunately, the results of these benchmarks are such that instead of answering our questions, they raise new questions. However, the fact that we have seen the 3DMark benchmark of these cards on the Internet means that these cards are in the testing phase and we are a few weeks away from their release, not a few months.

A550M graphics card, much slower than A730M

The A550M graphics card is equipped with a half version of the ACM-G10 chipset, where only 16 Xe cores are active. In the 3DMark Time Spy benchmark, this graphics card managed to score 6017 with the old driver of 1726. Unfortunately, this test was performed in a state where Intel APO (Advanced Performance Optimization) was enabled. Consequently, the results of this test are not valid according to 3DMark rules.

According to the results we’ve seen so far, having Intel APO enabled improves test results by 15%. On the other hand, if we compare the A730M graphics card benchmark results with APO on, it is clear that the A730M graphics card is 67% faster than the A550M graphics card with 50% more cores.

A770M graphics card, as good as RTX 3070M

Okay, now it’s time for the flagship Intel Arc A770M graphics card. This graphics card was able to score 13244 points in the 3DMark Fire Strike test. This score is very close to the score of the RTX 3070M graphics card. Keep in mind that according to the 3DMark database, the Core i7 12700H processor was used in the test of both graphics cards. In this test, the Intel graphics card driver is test driver 9999, which is used by OEMs and developers. Also, it is not clear whether the A770M graphics card test had Intel APO turned on or not.

It is worth noting that the official benchmarks of the A770M graphics card have been confirmed by Intel itself. This graphics card should be about 12% faster in games than the RTX 3060M graphics card. According to the recently published 3DMark benchmarks, Intel has to do a lot of optimization work to get the desired performance for its graphics cards in games.
