4 million Iranians travel to Turkey in the last 8 months / Iran is the second largest property purchase point in Turkey

According to Tejarat News, the Turkish Statistics Center has announced that the number of Iranians buying houses in Turkey has increased in recent months. After Iranians, however, Russian citizens bought 2124 houses, Afghanistan bought 1506 houses and Kazakhstan bought 953 houses in the third to fifth place of migration to Turkey.

In the first seven months of 2019, Iranians bought 2,666 houses in Turkey. But in the first seven months of 2020, despite Crohn’s restrictions on entry into Turkey, the number of Iranians buying homes in the country reached 3,168. This year, however, this amount grew again after the increase in domestic costs, which led to the purchase of 3,689 houses in Turkey by Iranians.

In recent months, when the value of the Turkish national currency has fallen sharply, Iranians have also taken the lead in traveling to Turkey. Although the statistics of home purchases in Turkey in the last two months have not been announced by the Statistics Center of that country, but it seems that the trend of home purchases in this country by Iranians has increased in the last two months.

According to the customs statistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in the last 7 months, about 3 million 950 thousand passengers and tourists have left the borders of Iran with Turkey. In other words, more than four million Iranians have traveled to Turkey in the last 90 months. More than 3,963,000 incoming passengers and tourists from Turkey have been registered at the country’s air and land borders.

Mohammad Reza Latifi, spokesman for Iran’s customs, said that 3,122,175 Iranians had traveled to Turkey by land and air in the first eight months of this year, some of them to other parts of the world.
Even if we consider the customs statistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran as an approximate number of Iranian travelers and tourists traveling to Turkey. It should be said that Turkey is still the main destination for Iranian travelers and tourists who have entered the country with the aim of investing and buying property and receiving accommodation or for the purpose of entertainment and small business.
Some time ago, MPs expressed concern about the growth of home purchases by Iranians, which is mostly done with the aim of obtaining residency in that country. But in recent months, with the sharp devaluation of the Turkish national currency against the dollar, it seems that Iranians are more willing to travel and buy a house in that country.
