4 obstacles to the progress of the national housing movement project – Tejaratnews

According to Tejarat News, the year 1401 is coming to an end and Iran’s economy has experienced fluctuations in all dimensions. The housing market is in a critical situation, the price of the dollar and coin is at one of its historical highs, and the inflation rate has recorded an increasing trend every month.

At the same time, more than a year has passed since the beginning of the presidential government, but until today, the promise of building one million housing units in one year has not been fulfilled, even to the extent of raising money. Meanwhile, the government makes new promises about this every day.

A few days ago, Bazarpash, the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, said: “The Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, in agreement with the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Azad University, as well as technical and professional units, cooperates in the production of housing and the implementation of the national movement plan in order to implement the mutation law. Speed up housing production. Next year, our universities will be at the forefront of the movement to produce housing for professors, university staff and married dormitories.”

But is the main problem of starting the national labor housing movement?

what is the problem?

From the beginning, the National Housing Movement had many critics among experts. They believed that the government does not have enough financial resources to build this number of housing and providing it seems impossible considering the economic situation of the country.

Currently, there is enough specialized labor force in the country, and the delay in the start of the project at the same time as unprofessional actions in this field has caused the non-use of these forces in the field of construction.

The survey of the unemployment rate of higher education graduates in the fall of 1401 shows that 5.12 percent of the active population of higher education were unemployed.

Inflation of building materials

Due to the inflation in the society, the price of construction materials is increasing day by day, and this has caused instability in the price of building units of the National Housing Movement project.

The latest data from the Iranian Statistics Center shows that the price of construction inputs has increased by 29% from the summer of last year to this summer.

Water stress and land supply

Now 300 cities in the country are facing water stress and subsidence problem. This factor causes that there is not enough land for construction. Especially since the government has announced that in some cities semi-finished villas will be delivered to the people.

Considering land outside the city for the construction of these units is proof of the lack of land ready for construction in the country.

financing

As it was said, the government is also facing difficulties in financing the project. This year, the government has a severe budget deficit, which it has not yet found a way to solve.

According to experts, the inflation outlook in the new year is also bullish, and this is considered a factor for the economic situation to become more critical.

Electricity supply

The next problem can also be seen as the problem of electricity supply. According to Mustafa Rajabi Mashhadi, the spokesperson of the electricity industry, the electricity supply for this volume of housing is estimated at 15 thousand billion tomans, which accounts for more than 50% of the Ministry of Energy’s budget.

Considering that currently the Ministry of Energy owes money to the private sector, it seems that the National Housing Plan is also facing problems in this regard.

On this basis, it is not clear with what purpose the Minister of Roads makes unenforceable promises in the field of housing and employment of specialists in this industry every time?
