* Rasht-Astara railway is the country’s first rail priority
He added: In this regard, the Rasht-Astara railway line is the first priority to secure credit to complete the north-south corridor. Upon completion of this project, Bandar Abbas will be connected to Astara through the rail network, and our railway will be connected to Azerbaijan and then to Russia and Europe. will be; This route is the main north-south corridor.
* Chabahar-Zahedan railway is the second priority for rail development
The CEO of the country’s transportation infrastructure construction and development company said that the second priority in the north-south corridor is the completion of the north-southeast corridor of the country and said: Completing the Chabahar-Zahedan railway line is one of the other rail priorities of the country and after the completion of this railway and connecting Chabahar will be connected to the railway network, then the railway will be extended in the direction of Zahedan, Zabul, Birjand, Mashhad and Yunsi.
He emphasized: This is the longest corridor in the country (Chabahar-Zahedan-Birjand-Yonsi), which is 1500 km long and connects to Yonsi station near Mashhad.
* Shiraz-Bushehr-Bandar Asalouye railway is the third priority railway in the country
Khademi added: The third priority in the north-south corridor is connecting Bushehr province to the country’s rail network. In this regard, the north-south corridor will be completed by connecting the rail line from Shiraz to Bushehr and Asalouye port.
* Connecting the Durood-Khorramabad railway to the North-South-West corridor is one of the other rail priorities.
The Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development named the fourth priority in removing the missing links of the North-South Corridor as the removal of the bottleneck of the North-Southwest Corridor of the country and said: Khuzestan ports have a large cargo capacity, but due to the oldness of the rails of this route, the capacity of five ports of this route is less than 50 million tons. region, we only use 3 million tons of capacity; For this reason, we are looking to remove the bottlenecks of this railway line, in this way, the Durood-Khorramabad railway line will be connected to the North-Southwest railway line of the country and a new route will be added to the North-Southwest corridor of the country.
* 5 billion euros are needed to complete the north-south corridors
Stating that these four railway projects are the main priority for the development of the country’s railways, he clarified that five billion euros of credit is needed for the construction and completion of these routes, technical works have been done in some parts of these projects, and tenders for some of them will be held soon.
Khademi stated: According to the decisions taken to complete the country’s corridors, good things will happen in the future, and by activating these corridors, we can increase the capacity of both domestic cargo and international transit through Iran.
In response to the question of how the financial resources for the implementation of these four projects will be provided, he said: Credits will be provided from the oil clearing place.
* The implementation of the Rasht-Astara project is accelerating
The CEO of the country’s transport infrastructure construction and development company said about the latest status of the Rasht-Astara railway project: This project is 164 km long, and we are currently constructing a line on 22 km of the route. 12.5 km from the Anzali side and 10 km from the Rasht-Caspian route are under construction.
He clarified: We have done the technical work of this project and to conclude a contract with the contractor, the Program and Budget Organization is reviewing the contract and the project, and after the completion of the review and conclusion of the contract, the implementation of this project will speed up. The evaluation of the route (purchase of land on the way of the project) is because there are agricultural lands along the route of the construction of the railway, and we have to design a solution for the provision of land.
According to Fars Some time ago, the leader of the revolution agreed to the government’s request to use the oil clearing method to supply the country’s important rail projects; Not long ago, Seyed Ehsan Khandozi, the economic spokesman of the government, announced the approval of the regulation of oil clearing for the financing of railway projects in the economic commission of the government and expressed hope that this regulation would soon be approved in the meeting of the government board.
