47% decrease in housing purchase in Türkiye – Tejaratnews

According to Tejarat News, the statistics of housing purchases in Turkey were published by the Statistics Institute of this country.
The analysis of the statistics of the purchase of houses by foreigners in Turkey in May 2023 shows that the purchase of houses by them has dropped by 47% compared to last year.
Iranians set a record for purchasing housing in Türkiye
Russian and Iranian nationals have been recognized as the largest number of home buyers in Turkey in May 2023.
According to Tejarat News, the Turkish Statistics Center announced that 113 thousand 276 units have been sold across the country by publishing the housing sales report for May 2023.
Among them, 3 thousand 167 residential units, equivalent to 2.8% of the total sales statistics, were purchased by foreigners.
Among foreigners, the largest number of houses were sold to citizens of Russia with 991 units, Iran 503, Ukraine 175 and Germany 129 housing units.
The highest sales of housing to foreigners were in the cities of Antalya with 1245 units, Istanbul with 934 units and Mersin with 249.
