50% progress in the restoration of Bampur Castle and Khalsa Garden in Bampur city



According to Aria Heritage report, Mojtaba Saadatian, quoted from the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Sistan and Baluchistan, said today, December 11, 1401: The protection and restoration operation of Bampur Castle and Khalsa Garden with a credit amounting to 47 billion and 727 million Rials is being implemented in Bampur city.

The Deputy of Cultural Heritage of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of the province added: This operation started at the end of August this year and so far it has achieved 50% physical progress.

He said: The measures that are on the agenda in this project include digging and locating the building, building an adobe wall, paving the yard, repairing the worn out parts of the adobe and sewing and stitching and fixing the worn out walls of the buildings.

Saadatian pointed out that this restoration project will be carried out in the Khalsa Garden and Bampur Castle, and said: Bampur ancient complex includes the 5 thousand year old Bronze Age site and Bampur Castle dating from the Parthian, Sassanid and Islamic periods and Khalsa Garden dating from the Qajar and It is Pahlavi.

He noted: Khalsa Garden was registered on November 16, 1379 with registration number 2844 and Bampur Castle on May 1, 1345 with registration number 559 in the list of national monuments of Iran.
