53% growth of Iran-Oman trade in 1400


According to Fars News Agency, Seyyed Ruhollah Latifi, on the eve of the President’s visit to Oman, stated about the non-oil trade of the two countries: Iran’s non-oil trade with Oman in 1400 was 4,190,000 tons of goods worth 1,335 million. It was $ 500,000, an increase of 27% in weight and 53% in value compared to the previous year.

He added: “The share of Iran’s exports to Oman in this amount of trade was 2,283,000 tons of Iranian goods worth $ 716 million, which was accompanied by a 14% growth in weight and 63% in value.”

Regarding the import from Oman, the customs spokesman stated: Our country’s import from Oman was 1,907,000 tons of goods worth 619,500,000 dollars, which has increased by 49% in weight and 43% in value.

Regarding Iran’s most important exports to Oman, he said: bitumen, urea, iron products, fruits and vegetables, construction materials, nuts, food, sweets and chocolates and home appliances were among the most important exports of Iran to Oman in 1400.

Latifi also spoke about the most important goods imported from Oman: corn, coal, oil and oilseeds, wheat, barley, industrial machinery, road construction machinery, minerals, medical and dental equipment, paper, cardboard and spare parts from It was the most important goods that were bought by Omani partners and imported to our country.

Latifi said: “Exports to Oman in April this year were 176,203 tons worth 74 million 390 thousand 296 dollars, which compared to April last year, despite a 7% decrease in weight, a growth of 103% in value.”

He added: Imports from Oman in April this year were 41,328 tons of goods worth 36 million 773 thousand 866 dollars, which compared to the same period has increased by 29 percent in weight and 143 percent in value.
