6 actions of the central bank to facilitate the payment of micro-facilities


According to Iran EconomistOne of the types of banking facilities that the banking network provides to individuals is a micro-bank loan. This facility is granted for non-commercial purposes and to meet the essential needs of loan applicants and within the framework of the implementation instructions for granting micro-facilities to banks’ customers. The ceiling and interest percentage of the micro-facilities are clear, and people can receive micro-facilities without the need of a guarantor and according to the loan amount with the help of guarantees such as promissory notes, guarantee checks and property documents.

The Central Bank has recently considered 6 measures to support the granting of micro-facilities and facilitate it to individuals.

The first measure to support micro-facilities is to increase the loan facility from 200 million tomans to 300 million tomans. Also, the micro-loan for small companies has increased from 500 million tomans to 700 million tomans, and the relevant regulations were notified to the banking network a month ago in order to develop the loan activity and increase the coverage level of the applicants despite the inflation.

In another measure, the circular of which was communicated to the banking network last week, the central bank increased the limit of Murabahah credit card facilities from 200 million tomans to 300 million tomans.

One of the central bank’s monetary policies to reduce liquidity is the balance sheet limit of banks. However, due to the fact that micro-facilities are important in the lives of people in the society, the central bank has decided to consider an incentive policy for banks that increase their micro-facilities and to reduce the balance sheet limit for them, and this instruction has been set for this month. The banking network should be announced, which will increase the granting of micro-loans if implemented.

According to this report, the central bank receives 1.5% of the public reserve from the banking network, which intends to reduce this public reserve in order to support micro-finance. The relevant regulations will be announced in the next two months.

Increasing the activity of Qarz al-Hasna single branch funds in the banking network is another support of the central bank in granting micro-facilities to applicants.

Also, the central bank is trying to increase the credit portfolio of micro-facilities with the help of the central insurance and insure the facilities. In this plan, the facility will be insured in such a way that the debtor of the micro-facility will also have insurance coverage in some way.

In such a way that the debtor of the micro-facilities is also covered by the insurance.

According to the latest statistics of the Central Bank, in the first quarter of this year, 29 thousand billion Tomans of marriage loan facilities were paid, which was an increase of eight percent compared to the same period last year.

Also, from the beginning of 1402 to June 28, the amount of 7.6 thousand billion Tomans was paid for child bearing facilities, which represents a growth of about 133% compared to the same period of the previous year.

According to the Central Bank of Housing Deposit Facility, from the beginning of the project (July 1401) to June 28, 1402, 267 thousand 462 facility cases were filed, of which 236 423 people received facilities amounting to 13.8 thousand billion tomans.
