He continued: The increase in the number of special and incurable diseases to receive insurance services was a good move to reduce the payments from people’s pockets against these costly and back-breaking diseases, which started in the second half of this year, and had a great effect on reducing the cost of treatment for these patients. had.
Nashi clarified: Currently, 44 diseases have been identified and registered in the system and 107 diseases have been registered in the provincial committees.
The Managing Director of the Iran Health Insurance Organization continued: From the beginning of this project until the end of last week, 200 thousand patients have been registered by the country’s universities of medical sciences and registered in the health insurance system, and the provision of medical services to them is fully covered by insurance. has taken.
He reminded: Until now, the patients of the five groups of hemophilia, dialysis, thalassemia, transplantation and MS were covered by insurance as special and incurable patients, but now the diseases of the groups of stroke, cancer, and SMA (neuro-muscular) diseases And NTS (metabolic genetics) has also been added to it.
Nashi said: The establishment of the referral system in the country’s healthcare system has been implemented in the country since the beginning of January this month, and according to the plans, it will be implemented in villages and cities with a population of less than 20 thousand all over the country until May of next year.
The Managing Director of Iran Health Insurance Organization continued: About 30 million people are covered by the referral system and this plan is implemented in the public and private sectors in the form of per capita payment for treatment in the country.
Referring to the pilot implementation of the referral system in Fars and Mazandaran provinces, he said: the shortcomings of the implementation of this project in the pilot provinces have been identified and corrected so that appropriate medical services can be provided to the general population of villages and towns with a small population.
Nashi continued: The establishment in the country has found a good situation and the integration of the system is being followed seriously in this field.
The managing director of the Iran Health Insurance Organization stated: The expectations for the realization of a comprehensive electronic system in this sector under the supervision of the Ministry of Health are coming to an end, in which case we will witness the operation of a single system in cities and villages and in the private and public sectors in a comprehensive way.
Referring to the importance of the implementation of the Darvar project in targeting the subsidies allocated to drugs, Nashi said: In the implementation of this plan, three thousand drug brands have recently been added to the list covered by health insurance.
He added: Currently, nearly 2,000 insurance drugs are covered by the Darvar plan.
Nashehi announced: Out of 366 drugs that were supposed to be covered by insurance, 30 drugs have been added by health insurance in the form of payment in the incurable fund, and the rest will gradually be added to the number of insured drugs under the Darvar plan with the approval of the Supreme Council of Insurance. .
The Managing Director of Iran Health Insurance Organization emphasized: Insurance support for pregnant mothers and their children up to 5 years of age and treatment of infertile couples has been implemented in the private and public sectors throughout the country, so that in the public sector, 90% of hospitalization and 70% of outpatient treatment costs Individuals and in the private sector are paid with the public tariff.
He announced: This year, health insurance has paid 1,200 billion tomans to infertile mothers and the treatment of infertile couples, and it is expected that this amount will reach 1,500 billion tomans by the end of the year.
Nashi added: We hope that by next year, with the increase of access and the development of academic centers, the provision of these services to the insured will increase across the country.
