$700 million airdrop will be distributed this week; Has the season of airdrops started?

Several popular projects are going to airdrop their tokens in the coming days. The total value of these airdrops reaches 700 million dollars.

To Report Cointelegraph, the Ethereum layer 2 project AltLayer, is one of three projects that started its airdrop recently with $100 million.

The supply of Alt-Lir token as well as the re-opening of requests to receive (Claiming) airdrop started on January 25 (Bahman 5). This airdrop includes 300 million tokens, whose average daily price during this period was $0.32. This means that the total value of this airdrop is 96 million dollars at current prices.

Several other projects are going to airdrop their tokens in the coming week. The Dymension project is one of these airdrops that is set to launch its mainnet in the next few days and distribute 70 million DYM tokens to users who have staked in Celestia or are non-Pudgy Penguin token holders. Of course, active users in the Solana and Ethereum ecosystems have also participated in this airdrop.

The Dimension airdrop claim period ended on January 21 (Bahman 1), which means that if you have not claimed the airdrop by this date, you will no longer be able to receive tokens. Pre-market data on decentralized exchange Aevo shows that the DYM airdrop will be worth $210 million at current prices.

Decentralized exchange based on the Solana network, Jupiter, has also confirmed that it will release the JUP token on January 31. One billion Jupiter tokens are going to be distributed in this airdrop, which will have a value of about $410 million at the price of $0.41 perpetual transactions before the market opens.

Users of the Bitcoin Ordinals protocol may still be eligible to receive an AirDrop. Leonidas, one of the anonymous developers of Ordinals, recently announced the launch of the Runestone Project to reward early adopters of the Ordinals protocol.

Users who are connected with airdrops of various projects should be careful of scams related to these programs in the coming days. Social network X (formerly Twitter) is currently full of fake accounts and ads related to cryptocurrency airdrops. Most of these accounts end up directing users to fake pages and emptying people’s wallets.
