According to an IRNA report on Friday from the Public Relations of the Foundation for the Underprivileged, “Seyed Parviz Fattah” this morning on the sidelines of a joint visit with the head of the Program and Budget Organization and Executive Vice President of Region 2 of the Tehran-North Freeway, referring to periodic visits to the project He added: “This morning, the visit is in line with the previous visits, which were carried out in the presence of the Minister of Roads and other government officials, in order to remove the problems and obstacles facing this project with more coordination between the Foundation for the Underprivileged and the government.”

Referring to the time of operation of the route of section 2 of the North Tehran Freeway, he continued: At present, 6.5 km of the route in Zone 2, which includes the Alborz tunnel as the largest tunnel in the Middle East, has been completed and work is underway on another 16 km. The path continues.

The head of the Mostazafan Foundation said: “In the presented report, it was announced that the physical progress of the work on the route of Zone 2 of the Tehran-North freeway is more than 76%, and in today’s meeting, the completion time of this route in March 1401 was emphasized.”

Fattah said that the financing of this project should be done 50-50 by the Foundation for the Underprivileged and the government. At the expense of the government and their problems in securing resources, today negotiations were held regarding the injection of financial resources by the government into this project.

Emphasizing that all the cement and rebar required for this project will be provided by the Foundation for the Underprivileged, he said: “In today’s meeting, it was emphasized that if the government can inject resources into this project in March this year, it will exploit the Zone 2 freeway.” It can be done by the end of next year, because in case of physical progress of 2% per month, the route of this region will be completed by March 1401.

According to Fattah, the executive operation and construction of bridges and tunnels along the route of Zone 2 of the Tehran-North Freeway are being completed, and the main part of the work is the provision of equipment and facilities, which requires significant costs, and interest if government funds are injected.
