According to the Aria Heritage report, referring to the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Razavi Khorasan, Mahmoud Amanibani said about the number of Nowrozi flights at Mashhad Shahid Hasheminejad International Airport: from March 24, 1401 to April 15 of this year, 1,402 flights with 190,672 Passengers entered Mashhad and on the same date, 1,401 flights with 193,338 passengers left Mashhad.

Director General of Khorasan Airports Razavi said about the transfer of foreign tourists: 241 foreign flights with 29 thousand 69 tourists have entered Mashhad and 243 foreign flights with 29 thousand 711 passengers have left Mashhad.

He added: Nowruz flights at Mashhad airport have increased by eight percent and the number of passengers has increased by seven percent compared to the same situation last year.

Shahid Hasheminejad Airport of Mashhad also has the largest asphalt runways and the highest number of flights per year after Mehrabad Airport in Tehran. The transfer of about 8 million passengers per year has made this airport one of the most important places.
