82% growth of currency supply in Nima system


According to the Fars news agency, citing the public relations of the Central Bank, based on today’s transactions in the NIMA system, the exporters sold more than 167 million dollar equivalents of the currencies resulting from exports today, increasing the amount of currency sales in the NIMA system since the beginning of the year to more than 13.5 billion dollars, which shows an increase of more than 82% compared to the same period last year.

The integrated system of foreign exchange transactions (NIMA system) was launched with the aim of facilitating the supply of foreign currency, and by using it, buyers (importers) and sellers (exporters) of foreign currency perform foreign exchange operations in the electronic environment according to their needs. The Nima system is the place to provide currency for imported goods to the country and the market between exporters and importers, and the volume of transactions carried out in it plays a decisive role in the process of determining the exchange rate.
