92.7% of the checks were collected in February 2011

According to Fars news agency, quoted from Central Bank Public RelationsDuring February 1401, 8,400,000 checks worth 5,085,000 billion Rials were exchanged in the check system, which shows an increase of 27.3% in terms of number and 20.7% in terms of amount compared to the previous month.

Of the total number and amount of checks exchanged in February, 92.7% and 90.8% have been collected, respectively. The percentage of the number and amount of checks collected in the previous month (December) was 93.2% and 91.5%, respectively. Also, this ratio was equal to 91% and 87.7% respectively in the same month of the previous year.

The index of the ratio of returned checks to exchanged checks in February 1401 was 7.3% in terms of number, which shows the number of 6.8% in the previous month. Also, in terms of amount, this index is 9.2% and it shows 8.5% in the previous month.
