* Effect of renovation of rural housing in natural disasters

The effect of renovating and improving worn-out structures in rural housing during natural disasters is well known. In this regard, it is worth paying attention to the two earthquakes that happened in the West Asia region.

Based on this, recently in Afghanistan, as a country that suffers greatly from worn-out rural fabric, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 on the Richter scale left at least 1,500 dead and 2,000 injured. This earthquake occurred in the morning of Wednesday, July 1, 44 km from the city of “Khost” located in the southeast of Afghanistan and at a depth of 51 km.

Less than 10 days after the earthquake in Afghanistan, the 6.3-magnitude Sayeh Khosh earthquake killed 5 people, on this basis, the renovation and strengthening of rural housing in Iran, unlike the country of Afghanistan, provided the basis for reducing the number of casualties.

Based on this, if the renovation and retrofitting of rural housing is stopped, an earthquake in some parts of the country can lead to the death of a large number of people, similar to Afghanistan.

* The importance of paying for rural housing renovation facilities

In this regard, Saeed Sadeghi, an expert in the field of economics and housing, said in an interview with Fars reporter: The policies of the new governor of the central bank should direct bank resources to the economically productive sector, and one of the most important economically productive sectors is the housing construction sector.

He added: The performance of the banking system in the field of rural housing in the last 10 months has been disappointing, and the new head of the central bank is seriously expected to fulfill legal obligations in this field.

This economics and housing expert said: rural housing facilities can provide employment opportunities in more than 300 backward and forward enterprises and provide the basis for economic prosperity.

* We expect the new head of the central bank to pay the housing construction facility

According to Fars report, the payment of rural housing facilities is one of the most important demands of the representatives of the Islamic Council in order to solve the people’s problem. Speaking about the importance of rural housing facilities, Iqbal Shakri, a member of the Civil Commission of the Islamic Parliament, said: The Law of Leaping Production and Supply of Housing in line with the 5-year development plans has placed special emphasis on the payment of housing facilities, but in the past 10 months, we have seen very unfavorable performance in this area.

Referring to the statistics of rural housing facility payments, Shakri said: 3 state banks gave only 50 loans while they were supposed to pay 87,000 housing renovation loans to the people. We will inquire.

Shakri said: There is hope that by changing the attitude of the Central Bank in the new period, attention to housing construction facilities in cities and villages will return to its original routine and path and prepare the ground for the realization of the goals that are people’s welfare.

According to Fars, Payment of housing construction facilities can provide the basis for solving the most basic need of the people, i.e. providing shelter, and by activating an economic pusher in the country, it can provide the basis for moving towards economic prosperity.
