According to Fars News Agency, the workshop “A Century of Visual Arts in Iran” with the presence of Mohammad Ehsaei, will be held tomorrow (Sunday, December 5) at the Cultural-Artistic Institute of Art Tomorrow.

The workshop of a century of Iranian visual arts aims to analyze the efforts and research in modern and contemporary Iranian art in the context of its social and institutional developments and with emphasis on its important and decisive periods. The most important historical phrases of these developments can be mentioned: the promotion of the academic style of European painting in “Kamal-ol-Molk School”, the revival of traditional painting in “Tehran Painting School”, the formation of a wave of modern art in the 20s and 30s, the growth of “Neocentrism” With the flow of “Saqakhaneh” and then the formation of “painting-calligraphy”, artistic developments resulting from the Islamic Revolution in 1978 and the emergence of revolutionary art, the revival of modern Iranian art from the early 1370s and finally the focus on contemporary concepts in Iranian art Since the early 1380s with an emphasis on new approaches and trends such as neo-expressionism, pop and neo-pop, abstract art, conceptual art and new media such as layout, performance art (video art) and video art.
