A different image of Tom Hanks was seen / “A Man Called Otto” screening

Tom Hanks’ new movie, “A Man Called Otto”, went to theaters at the beginning of the new year and sold 75 thousand dollars in its special screening.
Charso Press: According to Deadline, the movie “A Man Named Otto” started the first stage of its 3-stage screening and went to theaters with a special screening in 4 theaters in Los Angeles and New York. This movie sold 60,000 dollars in 3 days of the weekend, which is an average of 15,000 dollars for each theater. For the 4-day weekend, the sales forecast for it is $75,000.
This film, which is a remake of a Swedish film of the same name, is adapted from a best-selling book, and its official release starts on January 13.
The Swedish author Frederik Beckman’s best-selling novel “A Man Called Uwe” published in 2012 is the source of this film, and the story is about a grumpy and strict man who lost his wife and thinks that his neighborhood should adhere to his strict rules. He has problems with everything from children to the neighborhood cat. Just when Otto wants to give up on life, a new neighbor who is Iranian enters the neighborhood and a new friendship is formed with his neighbors, which changes his behavior and views.
The film is directed by Mark Forster and written by Oscar-nominated writer David Magee of Life of Pi and Mary Poppins Returns.
The Swedish adaptation of this famous book directed by Hans Holm in 2015, which was nominated by Sweden for the international Oscar, was nominated for 2 Oscars and became the best-selling foreign language film in the United States in 2016.
In the new version, Uwe’s name has been changed to Otto and Tom Hanks has appeared in the role of this character. Rachel Keller and Manuel Garcia-Ralfo are the other actors of the film.
Mark Forster has produced films such as “World War Z” and “Finding Neverland”.
Sony bought the worldwide distribution rights of this film from CA Media Finance and STX with a contract of 60 million dollars in the European film market.
